Diamond dared to dream he will be a superstar; he became. He dared to dream he will win awards and world recognition; he has earned them. He dared to dream become a mediapreneur; he is.

An Indian-American billionaire businessman and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla said that success comes to those that dare to dream dreams and are foolish enough to try and make them come true.

In the East African music industry, no one beats Nasibu Abdul Juma, alias Diamond Platnumz, in giving credence and impetus to Khosla's words.

From being born in a struggle to growing up wrestling life hurdles when pursuing his music dreams to stealing his mother's precious jewellery to finance his singing career, nothing stands in the way of Diamond Platnumz.

Diamond dared to dream he will be a superstar; he became. He dared to dream he will win awards and world recognition; he has earned them. He dared to dream become a mediapreneur; he is.

After months of announcing that he will launch a betting company, the Bongo star has finally unveiled it.

Diamond made the announcement of the new betting company dubbed WasafiBet on his Instagram account on Friday, November 26, and said "Pesa lipo".

His command of a huge following was evidenced shortly after unveiling the product.

The betting company's Instagram page gained more than 9000 followers in less than one hour after Diamond's unveiling, a milestone many betting companies are yet to achieve for years.

It is however not clear whether the singer owns the betting company or he is just a franchise dealer, given that Wasafi is a big name in Africa that entrepreneurs would wish to associate with.

Well, a scan through WasafiBet Instagram page gave a hint that the company could somehow be linked to a Kenyan betting company.

Whatever the case, one thing one would be sure of is Diamond's share in the betting company is lucrative as he is famed for signing lucrative deals.
