Housing and Urban Development PS Charles Hinga has disclosed that youth will be mandated to show proof of vaccination during Kazi Mtaani Recruitment.
While announcing via Twitter on Friday, November 26, PS Hinga pointed out that Kazi Mtaani had enrolled 1 million people (1,028, 904) a week later after launch and urged them to go for their jab.
The Kazi Mtaani program is scheduled to kickstart next month. He added that at least one jab would qualify one looking to be recruited into the program.

"Encouraging the over 1m young people enrolled into the KM program to get their Covid19 jab. You must show evidence that you have received at least 1 jab (if 2 jabs are required). This is key to recruitment," the statement in part read.
In its third phase, the program has Nairobi leading at 166,000 persons, followed closely by Kiambu at 70,600 persons, and Nakuru coming in third by 53,300 persons. On average, a total of 128,600 people visit the site and register on a single day.
The sentiments come after Health Ministry Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwa issued a directive barring Kenyans who will not be vaccinated by December 21 from accessing in-person Government services.
Also, Kagwe mandated that all public services persons such as drivers, conductors, bodaboda riders get a second dosier of the vaccine before the deadline.
However, Dr Willis Akhwale, Chairman of the National Covid-19 Vaccines Taskforce, clarified Kagwe's directive insinuating that the government was not forcing people to take a jab. Still, unvaccinated persons could access government services and not physically.
"There are many ways which you can be served, you can make a phone call and be served, you can use digital platforms."
