The Court has acquainted Kamiti Maximum Security Prison Boss Charles Mutembei Gerrard together with 11 Prison wardens.
On Monday, November 28, the court released Mutembei on a cash bail of Sh300,000 while his counterparts were given Sh200,000 each.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested Mutembei on November 17, the same day sacked prisons' boss Wycliffe Ogallo was arrested by the Anti-terrorist police unit.

He was arraigned the following day before Kahawa Law Courts with charges of aiding the escape of the three convicts.
His lawyers, Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta argued about the court's jurisdiction, stating that he should be charged at Milimani Courts or Kiambu law courts.
"The fact that the escapees were terror convicts does not make this a terrorism matter. They had been convicted and their case was closed. The accused alleged offense is a criminal matter that must be dealt with a criminal court," His lawyer Omari argued.
The terror convicts were later arrested in the Kamuluyuni area in Kitui County and later moved to ATPU headquarters, where they were detained to allow pending investigations.
Fresh details emerged from the DCI, showcasing how the three escaped from the highly guarded facility in Kenya.
According to the DCI, they used different techniques to communicate with their people outside and ensure they were not easily noticeable by the public.
