United Arad Emirates (UAE) has banned all inbound and transit flights from Kenya for the next 48 hours.
The ban took effect on Monday, December 20, at 10:30 am.
According to Emirate Airline, the ban was imposed by Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).
"Customers will not be accepted for travel on Emirates flight at Nairobi during this time. Outbound passenger operations from Dubai to Nairobi remain unaffected," Emirates said in a statement.
Travellers who had booked Emirates tickets to Dubai have been urged to hold on to their tickets and liaise with their agents once the flights resume for new travel plans.
