COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has warned Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala over plans to disrupt Azimio La Magharibi rally scheduled at Bukhungu Stadium on Friday, December 31.
Speaking during an inspection tour of the stadia on Monday, December 27, Atwoli warned the legislator of dire consequences if he makes good his threat.
The COTU boss said security will be highly deployed in the stadia to maintain law and order even as he urged Malalah to shelve any plans to disrupt the meeting.
"As an elder in this area, I have gone out of my way to ensure that security that will be in this area on December 31, will be one that no man or woman has ever seen. Tell Malala to stop being erratic, I am the one who gave him the senatorial job," Atwoli said.
Atwoli further told the Senator to go slow and stop being erratic saying they will not give room to those seeking to disrupt the meeting.

He also alleged that the Senator was being funded by some people to cause mayhem during the rally.
"If I curse him, he won't be a somebody. If he was circumcised once, we will do it again to him. Atwoli is not someone to joke with," he added.
The statement comes a day after Senator Malala said he will not allow the Azimio meeting to proceed unless the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi okays it.
The Senator said Kakamega County is his political bastion and that whoever wants to have such a meeting must go through him.
"Kakamega is my bedroom and I want to tell those guys that they should not come there on 31st December if they don't get the permit from Hon. Mudavadi. I want to officially say that there will be no meeting at Bukhungu Stadium," he said.
Sources indicate that the rally is set to endorse ODM leader Raila Odinga for Presidency, something that has rattled leaders allied to the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) led by Senator Malala.
Senator Malala is rooting for Mudavadi's presidential bid.
