COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli has dismissed ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi's move to join deputy president William Ruto's camp ahead of the 2022 polls.
In a statement, after Mudavadi attacked him for failing the workers of this country, Atwoli termed the move inconsequential and exonerated himself from any blame.
According to Atwoli, it is Mudavadi who is to blame for allowing a clause into the Finance Bill of 1994 that has seen employers victimize many Kenyan employers.
"Mudavadi, in 1994 while minister for finance, sneaked in the redundancy clause into the Finance Bill of 1994, as suggested by the World Bank, which allowed employers to declare redundancy without consulting workers. So how will he empower workers?" he posed.

He went on to castigate his move to join the DP saying that will not guarantee him the presidency.
Atwoli added that the ANC leader is a disgrace to the people of the Western region by allowing the DP to fund his NDC on Sunday.
"And who told him he's going to be President? Befriending Ruto is not the key to Presidency. He has ashamed the Luhyas by allowing Ruto to fund his NDC. As I said earlier, ANC and FORD-K are political commercial kiosks for Mudavadi and Wetangula," he added.
Mudavadi launched a scathing attack at Atwoli on Sunday labelling his leadership as "clownish" adding that he has failed the workers of this country.
