President Uhuru Kenyatta has indirectly hit out at his deputy William Ruto saying he is selling empty rhetoric to Kenyans.
Speaking in Mombasa, the head of state dismissed his deputy's narrative on the development saying his promises Wil not be worked on while talking from the rooftop of vehicles.
Uhuru dismissed Ruto saying development projects will be done once everyone takes on his her roles in their respective offices or areas of work.
He accused the DP of selling lies to Kenyans even as he aims at his first stab at the Presidency.

"Kazi haifanywi juu ya magari, hi kazi ya kupepeta uongo juu ya magari kwa mikutano tuache," Uhuru said.
Loosely translates to: "Developments projects are not implemented from the rooftop of vehicles. This penchant of propagating lies at rallies should stop".
Though the remarks could not link the Deputy President directly, it is an open secret that President Uhuru Kenyatta fell out with his deputy over early campaigns.
The Head of State is said to have been angered by Ruto’s determination to campaign on his presidential bid instead of focusing on his development agenda.
President Uhuru is in Mombasa where he is presiding over the official opening of this year's Health Workforce Conference.
