Deputy President William Ruto started his presidential campaign soon after the Jubilee government was elected in 2017.
It has now emerged that the DP Ruto has formed nine committees to spearhead his campaigns across the country and each committee is given a specific task, in his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Daily Nation, the committees which are collectively headed by Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok as the Director-General and Davis Chirchir as the Spokesperson/CEO all complement each other.
The council is responsible for designing presidential strategies, overseeing and coordinating the Deputy President’s presidential campaigns.

The committees will also include officials from the Musalia Mudavadi-led Amani National Congress (ANC) and Senator Moses Wetangula’s Ford Kenya.
Johnson Sakaja, Prof Amukowa Anangwe, Brown Ondego, and Sam Karanja will represent ANC in the committees while Ford Kenya will be represented by Bramwel Simiyu.
Mudavadi and Wetangula ditched the One Kenya Alliance (a coalition they co-founded) to work with DP William Ruto.
OKA currently comprises of Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU’S Gideon Moi and Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua who joined the outfit after Mudavadi and Wetangula’s exit.
The outfit had failed to agree on who would be their flagbearer.
