The government has dismissed reports circulating online that the mask mandate and other Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, the Government stated that no Covid-19 restrictions had been revised.
"It has come to our attention that there is a document circulating in the media purporting to come up with revised restriction measures on Covid-19. The document is not from the Ministry of Health and is therefore not authentic.
"If and when the Government revises the restrictions, we shall make it public in the usual manner," the statement by MoH read.
The clarification by the Ministry comes hours after a circular went viral online claiming that Covid-19 restrictions had been lifted.
According to the fake document seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, wearing masks in public would not be mandatory and visitors arriving in Kenya would not be required to quarantine.
