Gideon Moi's Kanu party will impose the death penalty on people convicted of graft if it assumes power in August.
Speaking at the Kabarnet Gardens in Nairobi during the launch of Kanu's manifesto, the Baringo senator said that the upcoming general election will be an opportunity to uphold the dignity of Kenyans.
In Kanu's manifesto, which was based on five economic pillars, the party will tackle corruption through sealing of the theft of public resources by imposing the death penalty on graft convicts.
The five pillars in Moi’s Kanu manifesto included devolution, social infrastructure, sustainable economy, citizen responsibility and greening Kenya.

The senator took it to Twitter to emphasize that his party is back to business in revitalizing Kenya’s economy.
“We are #BackToBusiness as KANU. We have outlined in our manifesto sustainable and time bound policies and plan of actions to revitalize economy through massive industrialisation; green Kenya through climate action; and re-engineer our social infrastructure to restore the decency,” Gideon tweeted.
This came even as his Kanu party urged him to join forces with Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja ahead of the upcoming August 9 polls.
