Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has raised pertinent questions regarding the summoning of the ODM leader Raila Odinga by the NCIC.
In a statement on Twitter, Murkomen began by congratulating the NCIC for taking the bold step of summoning the ODM leader to appear before it and explain the context of his Madoadoa remarks.
He, however, appeared to question why the ODM leader has not been handled the same way Meru Senator Mithika Linturi was treated when he was summoned over the same madoadoa remark in Eldoret.

Murkomen also wanted to know when the ODM leader will appear before the NCIC considering that the letter did not give a specific day when he should present himself.
"He went on to ask whether. A good start. When is he appearing? Is it the day he chooses? Over to you @ODPP_KE do as you did to Hon. Linturi and for @DCI_Kenya where are the Subarus? We are watching," he tweeted.
Earlier on, the NCIC released a statement requiring the ODM leader to appear before it for questioning on the context of his madoadoa remarks.
In a statement on Friday, NCIC said the term is considered hate speech in Kenya.
"The commission to assure Kenyans of its commitment to curbing any form of hate speech to ensure Kenya remains stable, prosperous and cohesive nation and to deliver on our promise of 'election bila noma'," it stated.
Raila told Wajir residents to back the Azimio La Umoja movement candidates only in the forthcoming general elections slated for August 9.
He appeared to label aspirants of other parties as madoadoa.
