Former United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Treasurer Omingo Magara has joined the ruling Jubilee party.
The former South Mugirango MP was received on Monday by Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni at the party’s headquarters in Pangani, Nairobi.
The move comes after Magara quit the UDA party on February 28. He had previously announced that he will use UDA party to vie for the Kisii gubernatorial seat but following Monday’s decision, he will vie for the seat using a Jubilee ticket.
“I have harboured an ambition to be the Kisii County Governor through the UDA party where I was also the national treasurer. However, there has since been developments that render my candidature through the UDA Party impossible,” Magara said.
