Deputy President William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto, has defended the DP over his generous donations to the church and the less fortunate.
Speaking on Thursday while meeting women leaders from Makueni County, the Second Lady said that the DP has been giving since he was young.
She intimated that it’s through giving that the second in command has amassed a lot of wealth because a hand that gives is the one that receives.

The Second Lady used the opportunity to drum up support for the DP’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
She maintained that she knows her husband well and that the second in command holds Kenyans dearly in his heart.
“Mimi namjua Deputy President.
Dr. Ruto has been a generous giver to the church with his political arch-rival ODM leader Raila Odinga previously questioning his source of wealth.
Ms. Rachel’s remarks come after the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) asked the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji to investigate claims that the DP was using public resources to fund his campaigns.
