Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria now claims that he has nothing personal against ODM leader Raila Odinga and the Luo community.
In a post he shared on Facebook, the MP said his remarks about an alleged oath taken by the Kikuyu community in 1969, purported to have sworn against voting for an uncircumcised person can be best explained by President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Kungu Muigai.
He also called on those angered by his remarks to learn something from his remarks instead of calling him out.
"As I have said it before, I have nothing personal against Raila Odinga and more so the Luo Community. I was only referring to a 1969 oath that was administered before I was born and whose details can be given by Captain Kungu Muigai, nephew to Jomo Kenyatta in whose homestead the oath was administered by Kungu's father James Gitoki Muigai. Rev John Gatu, the late Njenga Karume referred to the same oath," Kuria said.
He added, "To all those vilifying me I say this, these historical accidents explain so much of what is happening today then you wonder why. Throwing stones at me is not the wise thing to do. Trying to learn something from what I am saying is more helpful."

In another post Kuria accused the former Prime Minister of only fighting for historical injustices that only suit him.
He added that those who took the oath were forced into taking it and they also paid for it.
The MP added that this qualifies it as a historical injustice.
"The 1969 Oath was not free. People were abducted by force and they still had to pay for it. The Price List was as follows; If you live in a mud house Ksh 1, If you live in a stone house Ksh 2 and If you own a car Ksh 100"
"The Treasurer, the late Wanyoike Thungu never accounted for this money. The 1969 Oath is part of Kenya's Historical Injustices. Raila Odinga fights historical Injustices only when it suits him," The Gatundu South MP said.
