ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga's wife Mama Ida Odinga had a rough time on Saturday after a group of women in Meru heckled her as she was trying to address them.
This happened when she joined women faithful at Consolata grounds in Nkubu, Meru County during Catholic Women's Association Prayer Day where she had been invited as a guest.
However, when she was invited to address the women, a section of the crowd started booing her shortly after she introduced herself.

“I am the wife to the Rt Hon Raila Odinga... I am also a woman like you,” she stated but was cut short as the jeering grew, forcing the emcee to intervene urging women to allow Ida to address them.
"Please, let's hear our guest speaker," the emcee could be heard trying to calm down the crowd in vain.
It became apparent that the women did not want to hear Ida Odinga and even attempts by Meru Senator Mithika Linturi to calm them down fell on deaf ears.
It was however after Mithika addressed them and even sent Deputy President William Ruto's greetings that the women suggestively became jubilated and even acknowledged.
The unfortunate event attracted the attention of Kenyan leaders among the Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua.
Karua criticized the women saying they deliberately invited Ida only to embarrass her in Meru.
"What happened at the Meru CWA function was uncalled for especially because the women through their leadership must have invited Ida Odinga as their guest. Why invite a guest then heckle or boo them? Probably a stage-managed affair for the sole purpose of political zoning which is unacceptable" wrote Karua on Twitter.
This comes barely a week after Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and his wife Priscilla were humiliated during a prayer meeting.
Priscilla asked the faithful if they have seen the work done by her husband but to her utter shocker, the crowd disapproved of her.
Kiraitu was forced to step in and plead with the church not to embarrass him in front of his wife.
