Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Wednesday morning appeared before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission over vote-rigging allegations.
The MP was summoned by the electoral body to shed light on his remarks during the UDA party NDC on March 15, where he claimed that he and other groups of leaders were involved in election rigging.
“Kuna wengine wanasema ati kura ya mlima itagawanywa. Sisi ndio tulikuwa tukishikilia Uhuru kura, na sisi ndio tulikuwa tunamuibia kura,” Kuria said then.
The MP's remarks attracted condemnation from a section of Kenyans who also demanded that he be summoned just like Murang'a Woman MP Sabina Chege and explain his knowledge of votes being rigged.

Sabina had also been summoned by the IEBC over the vote-rigging remarks that she made in Vihiga.
Kuria was summoned on Friday to appear before the IEBC.
“You are hereby required to attend the Offices of the Commission at Anniversary Towers, Commission Boardroom 6th floor on Wednesday the 30th day of March 2022 at 10:00 o'clock,” IEBC said in a statement on Friday.
Speaking of his arrival at the electoral body offices on Wednesday, Moses Kuria said: "At the IEBC offices to open servers".
Moses Kuria is being interrogated by the IEBC disciplinary committee.
The committee is led by IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati.
Moses Kuria was accompanied by a group of his lawyers in facing the IEBC committee.
Sabina's hearing was however halted by a court ruling which has to rule whether IEBC is legally mandated to hear the matter.
