The former Prime Minister met with Azimio partner leaders on Thursday, where key issues were clarified in the meeting.

In a statement by Raila's campaign spokesperson Prof. Makau Mutua, it was resolved that the coalition council would be expanded to eleven members.

Prof. Mutua further stated that party organs will not include caucuses or alliances and that there will be no zoning of the country for any political party.

He also noted that the issue of Raila's running mate will be decided in consultation with the partner parties of the coalition at the appropriate time.

The statement comes after the eight parties issued ultimatums to the ODM leader and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Among the key issues raised by the parties is a lack of consultation in the decision-making processes within the coalition.

"The document needs to be renegotiated to ensure that all interests are taken care of. The agreement should not be decided by three parties In the same way that they have introduced zoning through some technical terms, we want them to be done away with," the parties said in a statement read by Governor Alfred Mutua.
