Kenya's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Manoah Espisu has seemingly blasted Safarcom over its mode of communication to its customers regarding sim card registration.
In a tweet responding to Safaricom's call for registration, the Former State House Spokesperson asked the telecommunication company to post the exact communique from the Communications Authority of Kenya to make their appeal simple and clear.
Safaricom in its tweet said: "Do you know that you need to update your SIM registration details to avoid being disconnected? "

In response, Manoah said: " Please post here the exact instructions from CA so we are sure you are not being overzealous about a very simple thing".
Safaricom has put a spirited campaign to urge Kenyans to register and update their SIM cards again in line with instructions from the CA.
However, many Kenyans are yet to do so while others don't understand how they will go about it.
Some have raised concerns about why they need to register again yet they provided Safaricom with the details the first time they registered their lines.
While Airtel and Telkom customers can register online, Safaricom has asked its users to visit its customer shops, dealers, or agents to register.
The deadline for registration has been set for April, 15, 2022.
