The United Democratic Alliance party has yet again lost its aspirant in a grisly road accident.
Nancy Wanjala Mwashumbe, who was eyeing the Chaani Ward MCA seat, perished in a road accident while on her way to her brother's funeral set for Saturday, April 9.
Chaani ward is in Changamwe Constituency, Mombasa county.
The accident reportedly happened near Voi at Ngutunyi along the Mombasa- Nairobi Highway on Friday morning.
The tragedy comes a day after the UDA party lost its Nandi Hills Constituency MP hopeful Wesley Kogo to a road accident.

Kogo was on his way to Kass Fm Studios for an interview when he met his death in Kangemi, Nairobi.
The demise is a huge blow to UIDA and Kenyans at large who are still weighing their options on who to elect as their next representative in the August 9, polls.
Their deaths came less than a week before the UDA party nominations scheduled for April 14, across the country.
The party is set to hold the primaries in a bid to determine candidates who will fly the party's tickets in various elective seats in the August 9 polls.
