Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has come under another intense criticism after one of Deputy President William Ruto's aides Emmanuel Talam accused him of being a mole in the UDA party.
Speaking on Saturday in Nandi county, the Director of Communications in the office of the DP warned Nandi Hills residents against electing Keter on a UDA ticket, claiming he is working for the Azimio la Umoja camp.
According to Talam, Keter has been going around the constituency asking for votes in the name of UDA, but later retreats to some quarters, claiming William Ruto will not be elected the president come August.
"I want to warn you against MP Alfred Keter, he is not in UDA but rather in our competitor's camp. If he refutes this, tell him that Talam, who is from Ruto's office has said so. We do not want somebody who comes here asking for votes in our name but when he leaves, he speaks of how Ruto will never be the president. We dare Keter to come out in the open and tell us on the face that Ruto will never be the president" Emmanuel Talam

His sentiments were echoed by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who had also accompanied him to Nandi. Sudi said Keter, despite announcing that he is in the UDA party has been dining with DP Ruto's political enemies.
The Kapseret MP said he had warned Keter against betrayals but has never listened to any of his advice. Sudi urged Nandi Hills residents to send Keter home in August for a period of five years so that he can correct his ways
"The reason why I stood with Ruto is not because of my own benefits and that of my family, it is because of the community...we cannot win when we are after our own stomachs. The same Uhuru we used to sing 'Uhuru Tano tena' has turned his back on us, he has whipped us seriously.
I want to assure you that Ruto is going to be the president and that is why we need all leaders to come in and support him. I have talked to Keter but he has not listened, we don't hate him but you need to take him home for five years for him to reflect on his mistakes" stated Sudi
Keter has already launched a high-end UDA campaign in Nandi Hills as he seeks third-term re-election. He was set to face off with among other aspirants, the late Wesley Kogo, who died two days ago after getting involved in an accident at Kangemi Nairobi.
UDA was forced to postpone UDA nominations for the MPs seat in Nandi Hills from April 14, to April 19.
