President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of goodwill to all Kenyans as Christians celebrate the Easter holiday.
In his message on Sunday, April 17, the Head of State said that it was a special time for Christians and a season for sacrifice.
"Therefore, as we enter into the Easter season this year, let's once again remember that it is a season for sacrificing ourselves, the same season that Jesus Christ was sacrificed for the sake of our sins and peace," the President stated.
President Kenyatta urged those celebrating the season to be considerate to the less fortunate.

"Let us deliberately make it our responsibility to spread love by extending a helping hand to the need this Easter season," he added.
The Head of State called for unity and oneness to enable build the nation, one which is respected and where peace prevails.
“I send you this message of goodwill and best wishes, praying that we will continue with the unity and oneness that binds us together so that we will continue building our country to become a respected nation," the President concluded.
