Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has said that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka wanted him out of the Azimio structures in the Ukambani region.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the outgoing governor said that it was proving impossible to work with the former vice president.
Kibwana maintained he had no choice but to be at peace with the sad reality as he bowed to the pressure from Kalonzo.
“It is proving impossible to work with Kalonzo Musyokain Azimio in Ukambani. After he joined us, he has wanted especially me out of all Azimio structures.
“I have no choice but to be at peace with this sad reality. History will ultimately judge all of us. May it be kind,” the Makueni governor tweeted.

Kibwana was among the first leaders from the Ukambani region to join the Raila Odinga led-Azimio before Kalonzo joined.
Among the leaders who had joined Azimio before Kalonzo were Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
Kibwana's remarks come after parties in the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) including Kalonzo's Wiper wrote to the Registrar of Political Parties decrying a violation of the agreement with Azimio.
The parties wanted the registration of the Azimio coalition party to be suspended as they felt they were being shortchanged.
