The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance on Thursday, April 21, held a meeting at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.
The Meeting was the first for the Coalition council that is chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Details of the meeting have emerged indicating that the Council agreed to form an advisory panel that will help in the identification of a suitable candidate who will be a running mate to ODM leader Raila Odinga.

In a joint statement read by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, the advisory panel will forward names of suitable persons for the post of a running mate to Raila.
"The council has recommended the formation of an advisory panel that will recommend to presidential candidates suitable candidates for nominations as deputy presidential candidates," the statement by the council read.
Azimio council members include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua, Governor Ali Hassan Joho, KANU chairman Gideon Moi, NARC leader Charity Ngilu, DAP-K party leader Wafula Wamunyinyi, Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Abdi Noor Omar Farah and Taveta MP Naomi Shaban.
Junet is also a member of the council by virtue of his position as the Secretary-General of the National Executive Council of the coalition party.
The choice of Raila's running mate is proving to be a somewhat deal breaker in the Coalition party given that both camps are pushing for their preferred persons.
Kalonoz has fronted himself for the seat saying having deputized Raila in the last two polls is enough for him to be a suitable candidate for the seat.
Also eyeing the running mate slot is Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
A section of Azimio La Umoja women leaders earlier in the week fronted Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua for the seat.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to intervene and ensure that the coalition party remains steady after the identification of a suitable running mate.
