The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Council on Thursday convened its first meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
The council meeting was chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
ODM leader Raila Odinga is the party leader of the Azimio coalition party.
The meeting made a raft of resolutions including the creation of new party structures.
New party organs created after the meeting include Coalition Elections Board, Coalition Elections Appeals Board, National Disciplinary Committee, and Dispute Resolution panel.

National Coalitions Executive Committee will forward suitable names of those who will become members of the newly created structures.
The council also created an advisory panel that will help in the identification of suitable names for the running mate slot.
The panel will recommend the names to ODM leader Raila Odinga who is the coalition's Presidential candidate.
"The council has recommended the formation of an advisory panel that will recommend to presidential candidates suitable candidates for nominations as deputy presidential candidates," the statement by the council read.
The National Executive Council was also tasked with creating a manifesto that will help the coalition in pushing its agenda to Kenyans and also ensure they win the presidency in the August 9 polls.
The coalition also stated that it is looking forward to winning a majority of elective seats.
