Deputy President William Ruto has paid a moving tribute to the late former President Mwai Kibaki.
In his speech on Friday at the Nyayo National Stadium during Kibaki's state funeral, Ruto said that the late former president was Kenya's greatest president ever.
The second in command further said that Kibaki was the finest economist Kenya ever had.
"The late Mwai Kibaki was the finest economist our country ever had, a distinguished public servant and of course, the greatest president Kenya ever had," the DP stated.
He said that Kibaki and his history is the history of Kenya. Dr. Ruto added that Kibaki part of the architects of Kenya's independence.

The DP said that Kibaki laid a firm foundation both in education and infrastructure development and that he was the architect of Kenya's economy.
Dr. Ruto further said that President Kenyatta had been a good student of the late Mwai Kibaki.
"He sowed the seeds and lay the foundation upon which our fourth president (President Uhuru Kenyatta) built the expansive, extensive and elaborate infrastructure that we see today in our country," he remarked.
"I also can see his shadow and influence in what is going to become of the fifth president of Kenya," Ruto added.
