Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka could be headed back to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition after talks with top party officials.
Details have now emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga held talks with Kalonzo in an effort to have him back in the coalition.
Sources privy to the matter disclosed that Kalonzo demanded the Chief Cabinet Secretary's position be included in the Azimio la Umoja agreement as a guarantee that the position will be preserved for him.
While unveiling NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua as his deputy, Odinga said in the event Azimio wins, Kalonzo would occupy the Cheif Cabinet secretary.
“Kalonzo will coordinate and supervise government functions,” the former prime minister stated.

The Wiper party leader argued that the position being offered Odinga is not in the current executive structure.
The former vice president also demanded a bigger share of the government if Azimio win the August polls.
Kalonzo pulled a surprise on Monday, May 16 after he announced that he would be on the ballot as a presidential candidate.
He went ahead and unveiled Andrew Lateipa Sunkuli as his running mate for the presidential race.
The Wiper leader declared that he had severed ties with Azimio la Umoja leader Odinga.
"If there is no faith, you can't do business. For how long will we sacrifice and even if we sacrifice, they mess up.
"We have agreed to go our separate ways, I wish Raila Odinga's running mate Martha Karua well," Kalonzo stated.
A section of Azimio leaders has told Kalonoz to drop the demands. Narok Senator Ledama Olekina is among those opposed to the position of Chief cabinet secretart being included in teh colaition agreement.
"Irreducible minimum - to reconsider the exit - demanding that the position be part of the coalition agreement is very dangerous! What if Kalonzo Musyoka decide to be problematic while in office? Since I am sure he is on his way back to Azimio let him drop his demands or go at it alone," Ledama stated.
