Ruto claimed several leaders in the Azimio coalition have been shortchanged.

Deputy President William Ruto has continued with his onslaught against the Azimio coalition accusing its leaders of deceit.

Speaking during the Kenya Kwanza Economic Forum in Embu on Friday, Ruto said the Azimio coalition has betrayed a number of leaders in the country.

He faulted them for the underdevelopment being witnessed in Kenya urging Kenyans to shun them in the August 9, polls.

"This country has been held hostage by politics of personality & people who are run by betrayal," the DP said.

He went on to claim that a number of leaders in the Azimio coalition have been shortchanged adding that their deceit has led to prominent leaders quitting the outfit.

It is then that he chided Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka saying he has not resorted to herding cows because of politics of deceit.

"Huko kwa Azimio kama wanaweza kuwatapeli viongozi wenzao, basi watahangaisha Wakenya. Mutua alitoka, juzi wametapeli Kalonzo sasa naskia amerudi nyumbani kuchunga ng’ombe, the DP said.

The DP has been attacking the Azimio coalition for not being open with the details of the coalition agreement signed by a number of parties.

He has been using the exit of some members as an attack weapon.
