Police in Kabarnet, Baringo County have apprehended a pastor who allegedly forced three boys to walk on burning charcoal for stealing a cake.
According to the police, the incident happened on Tuesday night when Pastor Rashid Nduma of Deliverance Church caught one of the three boys red-handed at a local shopping centre.
He is then reported to have forced the boy to reveal the identities of the other two before forcing him to put his legs on burning charcoal.
“Akaniambia simama hapa kwa moto na useme ni nani. Nikajaribu kukanyaga moto na ilikuwa kali sana. Akanishika akanifinyilia kwa moto,” the boy told reporters in the hospital.

The boys, who two are secondary school students while one is a primary school pupil, are said to have stolen the cake worth Sh80 from a bakery.
Pastor Nduma then proceeded, with the help of other workers from the bakery, to burn the other boys in an oven. Police are still looking for the worker who went large.
The boys were rescued after they cried for help, alerting the attention of the nearby locals.
The three boys are currently receiving treatment at the Baringo County Referral Hospital.
Residents of the area called for stern action against the pastor.
