A lorry was on Sunday involved in a road accident in one of the sections along the Nairobi Expressway.
A witness at the scene who spoke to Nairobileo.co.ke confirmed the accident which occurred at the SGR exit.
"I can confirm it. It happened at the SGR exit on your way from Mlolongo to town opposite Kapa oil refinery," he told this writer.
The vehicle rammed into road guards at the section of the road. Traffic police responded to the scene. No causalities were reported.
The incident comes after the expressway was opened for public use on Saturday, May 14 on a trial basis.

The trial basis was meant to enable contractors to determine areas that needed to be reinforced, President Uhuru Kenyatta said while announcing the opening of the road.
Motorists have been using the road since then, which is a faster route to commute from Mombasa Road to Waiyaki way.
They pay as high as Sh310 and as low as Sh100 to use the newly-constructed road, depending on the distance travelled.
The Nairobi Expressway has been under construction since 2020, and it was meant to ease the traffic jam along Mombasa Road.
The government project cost over Sh88 billion.
