The meeting with IEBC will run from 29th May to 6th June 2022.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC has released the names of 18 Presidential Candidates who are set to appear before the commission for further vetting.

In a new circular released by the IEBC, all the 18 approved presidential candidates have been scheduled to meet with the IEBC officials at the Bomas of Kenya starting from 29th May 2022 (today) to 6th May 2022.

IEBC has however added the names of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Justus Juma of Freedom Party to the list.

Independent candidate Peter Mumbiko King'ori and Justus Juma of the Justice and Freedom Party are today expected at the Bomas of Kenya to hand in their documents to the electoral body for verification.

The two will be followed by Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah of Roots Party and Walter Mongares of Umoja Summit Party on Monday, May 30, 2022.


Dorothy Kemunto, Gibson Ngaruiya Nganga, and James Kamau all Independent candidates are set to appear before the commission on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday respectively.

Jeremiah Nyaga and Jane Juliet Munyeki also Independent candidates will book their dates with IEBC on Friday.

Deputy President William Ruto of the UDA party, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, and David Waihiga of the Agano party are set to appear before the IEBC on Saturday next week to hand in their documents.

Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja coalition will also appear on Sunday 5th June, alongside Dr. Ekuru Aukot of Thirdway Alliance and Independent candidate George Munyotta.

Jimi Wanjigi (Safina) Muthiora Eliudi Kiriara (Independent) and Njeru Kathangu of Ford Asili will appear before the commission on the last day (6TH June, 2022)

Among the documents these candidates are required to present before the IEBC include clearance from; the anti-corruption body EACC, the DCI, Higher Education Loans Board HELB, and Commission for University Education CUE.
