Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party Presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Monday, June 6, launched his manifesto ahead of the August polls.
The former Prime Minister and his running mate Martha Karua have highlighted their 10-point agenda which will form the basis of his covenant with the people should he take over the office after the August general election.
First on Raila's Ten-Point Agenda is Azimio la Ugatuzi. Odinga's government will focus on increasing devolved resources to all the 47 counties in the country. This according to Raila, will aim at transforming all counties by exploiting local resources for both domestic and external markets.
Second on the Agenda is Azimio la Jihada. This aims at recognizing all Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) like the Jua Kali sectors. Raila's administration under Azimio la Jihadi will ensure the Prior Learning Certification Program award certificates to artisans, craftsmen, and technicians who might not have gone to school but have obtained the required knowledge through apprenticeship.

Third on Raila's Agenda is Azimio la Akina Mama. Azimio's agenda will be to ensure gender equality and women's empowerment once they form the government. This agenda will also focus on true multipliers of wealth through women in the community. It will also aim at financing women-led businesses across the country as well as ensuring women can access credits from the government at low interests.
This agenda will also address the plights of widows and unmarried women by financing literacy programs and ensuring a reduction in the cost of healthcare and education for their children.
The fourth Agenda is Azimio la Ukulima. Azimiom la Umoja government will be aiming at generating agricultural bounty to feed the whole country under Fukuza Njaa Agenda. Raila's government will focus on helping the farmers adapt to climate change and mitigation to increase food production as well as modernizing agriculture both farming and animal production.
Azimio government has also taken into consideration Azimio la Viwanda. Under this agenda, Azimio will thrive in investing in emerging technologies which will in turn create jobs for Kenya's young generation.
Azimio government seeks to put its energy into the manufacturing sector which will be integrated with the Blue Economy and ICT to spur and accelerate economic activities including entrepreneurship, economic growth and sustainable development.
The sixth Agenda is Azimio la Wanainchi. Raila's presidency under this Agenda, will seek to form a government where every Kenyan will have all the rights and a feeling of belonging.
This will ensure that the transformation of government from the previous regime to the next is seamless and that all the developments which had been initiated in all parts of the country will be finished by Azimio government iregardless of the region.
Azimio la Uwajibikaji has also been taken into consideration by Azimio government. Under this Agenda, Raila and his government will be accountable for all the mandates bestowed to them by the people of Kenya. This will ensure Kenyans get good governance and best public service delivery.
'Waste Not a Single Child' has also been identified as a key Agenda of Raila's Azimio government. This according to Azimio, will ensure that no child will be left out as far as access to basic education is concerned. Azimio looks forward to availing enough teachers for all the schools in the country as far as ensuring that all qualified teachers are also employed under the Teachers Service Commission.
Raila's Azimio government will also ensure that all households can access clean water through Maji Kwa Kila Nyumba Agenda. According to this agenda, desert places will be taken into consideration to ensure its productivity through irrigation of farms.
'Baba Care' has also been identified as one of the most important Agendas in the Azimio government. This according to Raila, will provide a Universal Health Coverage to Universal Health Care. This will ensure all Kenyans can access quality and affordable healthcare.
Social protection and transformation through the provision of Ksh6,000 per month to over two million needy families has also been captured under this agenda.
