The former State House Chief of Staff has sent a strong message to the Wiper Party.

Former State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita has fired at Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party after reports of his withdrawal from the Machakos County gubernatorial race.

In a post on Twitter on Monday, June 13, the Chama cha Uzalendo (CCU) party leader shared a poster of a fake press release indicating that he had pulled out of the race.

Waita attributed the reports to the Wiper party, maintaining that the level of desperation by the Kalonzo-led outfit was embarrassing.

“The levels of desperation in Wiper are now embarrassing. I thought they said this “boy who speaks poor Kikamba is a non-starter?” A word of advice to them: don’t start what you can’t finish. Marching onwards to the ballot!” Waita tweeted.

His remarks come after Kalonzo on Sunday, June 12, said that he was to have a talk with the former State House chief of staff.

The former Vice President said that the Wiper candidate in the Machakos governor race, Wavinya Ndeti, was a strong candidate as he asked Waita to shelve his ambitions.

“Our Wiper team is strong and our candidate Wavinya is doing well, the rest we will talk to them, Mr. Nzioka is my friend and I will talk to him,” Kalonzo stated.

Waita on Sunday, however, maintained that only the people of Machakos would decide who was going to be their next governor.

“I keep saying, the people of Machakos will decide for themselves who they want as their Governor. Attempts to force an endorsement for my competitor fell flat on its face,” he said.

In an interview on Monday, June 13, with Citizen Digital, Waita said, "There will be no retreat and there shall be no surrender."
