A garbage truck driver was Thursday night shot and killed in cold blood.
He was waiting for his truck to be loaded with litter along Thika Road when his life was cut short by a gun-wielding man around 10 pm.
The man who shot him dead emerged from a salon car. The incident happened at Utalii Tunnel.
Witnesses who survived the incident said one gunman jumped out and walked to where the driver armed with AK47 was and shot him six times.
He ran back to the car and drove off.

The driver, identified as Maina, was driving a lorry contracted by the Kenya National Highway Authority to collect litter on along Thika Highway.
Six boys who were loading the lory with litter were not attacked by the gun-wielding man.
A team of police that visited the scene collected six spent cartridges.
They also interrogated the other attendants who said they had picked garbage from the city centre and were headed towards Kasarani direction
