Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has claimed that he was on Friday, June 24 ordered to leave a ceremony in Bungoma county by a local chief.
Through a statement on his social media pages, Barasa alleged that he had attended a thanksgiving ceremony belonging to one of the sons of his CDF Committee member who had just landed a government job.
However, it was while at the ceremony that Barasa claimed he was instructed by one of the Chiefs to leave the venue which he said he gladly obliged.
While sharing a video and photos of the same, the Ruto allied MP said nearly 98 of the attendees left the ceremony with him
"I attended a celebration ceremony for a son to My CDF committee member Mary Kisuya who just got a Government job. To my dismay a chief officer in the name of Patrick Wandili asked me to leave the venue which I gladly did," he stated.

The crowd according to Barasa, then ordered him to address him some distance from the venue leading to an impromptu rally.
He accused Bungoma county Governor Wycliffe Wangamati and his officials of being behind his unceremonious eviction from the venue.
"The crowd followed me enmase to a safe place where they demanded that I address them. The love of my people to me is unwavering. See how the citizens escorted me after Governor. Wangamati cohorts asked me to leave the Thanksgiving ceremony of Sydney Kisuya today..," he posted
It was not immediately clear what led to the alleged Barasa's eviction from the ceremony. The Kimilili MP is a strong ally of Deputy President William Ruto and will be seeking re-election through the UDA party in the August 9 polls.
Governor Wangamati will also be seeking a second term in office on a Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K) which is allied to Azimio la Umoja- One Kenya Coalition party.
