Popular Congolese singer Mbilia Bel made a surprise performance during Raila Odinga and Martha Karua's campaigns in Nyeri County. 

The Former Prime minister introduced her to the crowd that had turned up for his rally in Nyeri town. 

"Sasa mimi niko na mgeni, mama mmoja, muimbaji kutoka Congo, Mbilia Bel," Odinga said as she received a rapturous welcome from the gathering. 

In a rejoinder, Mbilia said, "Habari ya Kenya? Mimi natoka Congo, niko hapa kusupport Baba na mama." 

She then proceeded to sing her popular song Nakei Nairobi

The former prime minister has received support from artists across the country including Mt Kenya musicians. 

Odinga led the Azimio campaigns in Nyeri on Tuesday where they made several stopovers in Chaka, Othaya, Mukurweini, and Nyeri town. 

The Azimio brigade is expected to pitch camp in Kiambu County on Wednesday (today).
