"The Sh56 million I had declared in 2013 has appreciated because of the inflation. I do not look for property," Martha Karua.

Azimio deputy presidential running mate Martha Karua has revealed that her net worth is about Sh150 million.

Speaking during the 2022 deputy presidential debate on Tuesday, the Narc Kenya party leader said that the Sh56 million she had declared in 2013 had appreciated because of inflation.

According to Ms. Karua, she has not had any new properties adding that she is not thirsty for land and worldly goods.

“I think I am worth just about Sh150 million and that is because the 56 million I declared in 2013 has appreciated because of the inflation. I haven’t had any new properties but I am a person many may not understand," she stated

Ms. Karua further revealed that she has a house built on her father’s land adding that he is not hungry to amass wealth

“I am not thirsty for land and I am not thirsty for worldly goods. I am happy to have a house I call home and I am happy to have a house in my father’s land,” she added.

The Narc Kenya leader further added that she does not look for wealth saying that she is hungry to do something for the country and transform lives of people.

“I do not look for property. Not everyone is hungry to amass. I am hungry to do something to help my country and transform lives of the people. If you are looking for Martha Karua to be a billionaire, I am not hungry for billions,” Ms Karua stated.
