Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has issued a message to Kenyans ahead of voting on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
Odinga thanked his family and Kenyans at large for walking with him through his journey
"We have travelled a long journey during this year and today it is my turn to say Asante to all of you.
Firstly, I would like to thank my family for bearing with me and my entire team for all the hardwork and sleepless nights they have put in. More importantly, to the people of Kenya Asante for maintaining peace and order and performing your civic duty of citizenship in harmony," part of the statement read.
The former premier added," As we head to the polls, I wish you all well and I pray for abundant blessing for you and your families. Democracy can sometimes be slow, but exercising your vote is your democratic right. No one man or woman can change Kenya, we all must participate to make it work and make this country the best it can be."

Kenyans will be voting on Tuesday from 6:00 am - 5:00 Pm as per the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
IEBC has also suspended Gubernatorial elections in Mombasa and Kakamega Counties.
"The elections for the Gubernatorial elective position in Kakamega and Mombasa Counties; and for the Member of National Assembly for Kacheliba and Pokot South Constituencies, are postponed to a later date to be announced through a gazette notice.
"The Commission submitted correct ballot proofs and packing list to the printer on time as required. The printer has since agreed to a quick reprint of the affected ballot papers," IEBC said while explaining the cancelation.
In the past two elections, the counties have overwhelmingly voted for Azimo presidential candidate Odinga.
