Renowned city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has claimed that the losers in the just concluded general election may not challenge the results in court,
In a tweet on Thursday, the lawyer said that the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati and other commissioners of the electoral body had done a good job.
“I don't think the losing candidates in the just concluded Presidential contest will challenge the result in the Supreme Court...Chairman Chebukati and his Commissioners IEBC have done a good job,” Ahmednasir stated.
His remarks came even as Chebukati announced that IEBC had ensured that the results were 100 percent available in the commission’s portal.
He added that the result transmission of the form 34A was almost complete with the commission already receiving 99.84 percent of the forms.

Only about 73 polling stations had not transmitted their results, according to Chebukati.
“The commission has ensured that there is 100 percent availability round the clock of the results portal which we are all accessing to ensure and guarantee transparency,” Chebukati said during a press briefing on Thursday.
On the different results transmitted by media, Chebukati explained that all media houses have equal access to their portal and that they could be using different technique to tally the results.
He added that only himself shall declare the presidential results at the Bomas of Kenya.
"I want to inform Kenyans that the final announcement and declaration of presidential results will be done here by the national returning officers here at Bomas of Kenya," Chebukati said.
