Coons was received by US ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman.
Whitman said Coons will hold a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta, President-elect William Ruto, and Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

The meeting comes at a time when the President Uhuru is yet to utter a word following the announcement of Ruto as President-elect.
Ruto was on Monday announced President-elect by IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati.
Raila has rejected the results and said he will be moving to the Supreme Court of Kenya to challenge the results.
In results annouced on Monday, Ruto, United Democratic Alliance candidate garnered 7,176,141 votes (50.49 per cent).
Azimio flag bearer Raila won 6,942,930 votes (48.85 per cent).
Ruto exceeded the 50 per cent plus 1 threshold.
Coons-led delegation will also meet with conservationists, health providers, and organizations working to empower girls.
