Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Wednesday, August 31, met a section of Azimio leaders from the Mount Kenya region.
Azimio deputy leader Martha Karua was also among those present in the meeting. Odinga noted that they had a positive engagement with the leaders from the Central region and committed to continue rebuilding the country together.
"Martha and I had a very positive engagement with Azimio leaders from the Central Kenya region. As Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition, we are committed to a one united Kenya policy.
"We are walking this path together; we are going to rebuild this country together," he said.

A section of the Azimio leaders present in the meeting lost their bids to retain or be reelected in the recently concluded general election. Those present were Jeremiah Kioni, Charles Kibiru, Francis Kimemia, Ngunjiri Wambugu, Priscilla Nyokabi, Amos Kimunya among others.
The meeting comes amid the ongoing hearings at the Supreme Court where Raila Odinga has challenged President-elect William Ruto's win.
