Azimio coalition party leader Raila Odinga has sensationally claimed that the Supreme Court decision to uphold President William Ruto’s victory was inspired by the devil.

Speaking on Friday, September 16, during the Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting in Machakos, Raila said that the Chief Justice Martha Koome noted that the ruling was inspired by God, but he believed it was by the devil.

“The Chief Justice has gone out to a funeral in her village and defended the judgement before she gives out the detailed ruling. The Supreme Court is now in politics. She (Koome) said that ruling was inspired by God, I believe it was inspired by the devil,” Raila said.

Raila further said that the Supreme Court had resorted to threats and intimidation, adding that he had fears about where the Court’s decision leaves the democracy of elections in the country.

According to the former Prime Minister, the country had the worst elections since the return of multi-party politics.

The ODM leader claimed that it was not possible to determine whether the country had presidential elections.

“We have had the worst election since the return of multi-party politics in our country. At the presidential level, it's not possible to tell whether we had elections at all,” Raila said.

The former Prime Minister urged the Azimio lawmakers to unite claiming that if they did not unite, they were going to be ruled yet they had the numbers to be able to be rulers in Parliament.
