Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has recalled his last moments with Former Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut who passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
In a tweet on Saturday, Murkomen disclosed that the met the former register on Friday evening and he was in a jovial mood.
Murkomen, who has been nominated as the Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary, revealed that they had agreed to meet with Chepkut to discuss infrastructure.
"Last evening I met Hon. William Chepkut in the company of his friends. He was in a very jovial mood. In his characteristic manner he showered me with many praises using all the superlatives in the book. William was a very lovely guy.
"Extremely connected and Loyal to his seniors almost to a fault. When we parted last night at 8 PM we agreed to meet soon to discuss matters of Infrastructure. I didn’t know it was going to be the last time with him. Fare thee well Hon. William Chepkut," Murkomen tweeted.

The former lawmaker passed on at the Mediheal Hospital in Parklands, Nairobi.
In 2021, the witty and jovial leader was admitted to the same hospital following an accident at a city hotel.
“In July 2021, I missed a step at a hotel and rolled down several metres to the ground. I fainted and was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where I received treatment and was discharged,” the late MP revealed.
