National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula on Thursday, November 3, received a rosary from Citizen TV sports journalist Mike Okinyi.
Wetangula said that the journalist had just come back from the Vatican in Rome when he passed by Parliament to present him with the gift.
Okinyi was accompanied by his colleague, senior Citizen TV political reporter Francis Gachuri.
"On his way back from the Vatican, Mike Okinyi of Citizen TV presented to me a priceless Holy Rosary, with him was Senior Political reporter Francis Gachuri," Wetangula said.
According to the National Assembly Speaker, the gift was a great honor to him as a Catholic faithful, and he thanked the journalist for the gesture.

The gift to Wetangula came moments after he presided over a sitting in Parliament on the review of teacher deployment policy.
According to a communication from Parliament, the motion was unanimously approved by members of Parliament.
"Members of the National Assembly have unanimously approved the motion on the Review of Teacher Deployment Policy during a session presided over by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetangula. The motion was introduced by Hon. Titus Khamala, MP," read a statement from the National Assembly.
