Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga has demanded justice for two Indian nationals who mysteriously disappeared from an entertainment joint in Nairobi in July.

In a press briefing on Thursday, November 3, the former Prime Minister said that the duo deserved to live, adding that he hoped they will be found alive.

Raila said that the Indians were not the first ones to disappear, demanding the government investigate the disappearance and deaths of tens of other Kenyans under unclear circumstances.

“We believe the Indians are not the first to disappear, and they will most certainly not be the last if the past is anything to go by. So as Ruto amounts the search for the Indians, whoever and whatever they were to him, we want an equally vigorous search to establish the truth behind the disappearance and deaths of tens of other Kenyans,” Raila said.

The Azimio leader demanded investigations into the deaths of Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei, who was attached to the Office of the Deputy President, Christopher Koech, an ICC witness who died mysteriously, Lawyer Paul Gicheru, another ICC witness, among others.

Raila claimed that the Head of State had embarked on a vindictive process in regards to disappearances and extrajudicial executions.

He demanded a transparent and professional investigation to help the country and families of the victims determine the fate of their loved ones.

"We demand a transparent, professional and inclusive public inquest to assist the country and families determine the fate or whereabouts of members who disappeared or died under unclear circumstances," Raila stated.
