United Democratic Alliance Party has announced the date for its primaries for Kandara and Elgeyo Marakwet Member of Parliament seats.
In a notice dated Monday, November 7, the UDA party announced that those seeking its tickets for the Elgeyo Marakwet Senate and the Kandara MP seats will participate in the nomination exercise on November 26.
Residents of Sheila Ward in Lamu county will also take part in the nomination exercise ahead of their by-election for the MP seat.
"Following the declaration of vacancies in the offices of Member of the National Assembly for Kandara Constituency, Member of the Senate for the Elgeyo Marakwet County and Member of the county assembly for Sheila Ward in Lamu County," the statement stated.

The seats fell vacant after Kipchumba Murkomen resigned as Elgeyo Marakwet Senator to take up the CS position.
CS for Water Alice Wahome also resigned as Kandara MP to take up the CS post.
The notice comes even as the aspiring leaders have until November 11 to send their applications to the UDA party for consideration ahead of the primaries.
For the position of the MCA, male candidates will be required to pay Sh50,000 for the nomination fee, and Sh25,000 for women, youths and Persons with disability.
For the MP slot, male candidates will pay a nomination fee of Sh250,000, for women, youths and Persons with a disability will pay Sh125,000.
Persons eyeing the Senate position will pay Sh250,000 and Sh125,000 will be paid by women, youths and Persons with disability.
All payments will be required to be paid via MPESA using the paybill number 888092 and the account number will be the aspirant Identification Card (ID).
Another option will be to deposit the money at Equity Bank Limited at the Supreme Centre Branch, account number 0810280788414.
