Jubilee party Members of Parliament have clashed with the ODM party over the nomination of members to the Parliamentary Service Commission.
In a press conference on Thursday, November 10, led by National Assembly deputy whip Sabina Chege, the MPs said that they were saddened by the move to remove Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo's name from the nominee list.
She said that the move was a show of impunity, urging the Speaker of the National Assembly and his Senate counterpart to suspend the consideration pending approval of the nominees.
“We the leadership of Jubilee party in Parliament are saddened by this show of impunity and urge all MPs across the political divide to carry the amendment by the Senate and urge the Speakers of both houses of Parliament to suspend the consideration of approval of nominees until the matter has been resolved,” Sabina Chege said.
The Jubilee nominated MP said that Azimio needed to have an agreement on the persons to represent the coalition party in the Parliamentary Service Commission.

She said that Jubilee did not have a slot in the three slots allocated to Azimio in the powerful commission after ODM took two slots and Wiper took one.
ODM had nominated Likoni MP Mishi Mboko to the slot before Fatuma Dullo was replaced by Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni who's also an ODM member.
"Our concern therefore is that now that the Senate approved senator Omogeni yesterday and already we had Hon. Mishi Mboko also for the ODM party, that means the Jubilee party has no slot at all," Chege said.
She urged the Azimio coalition partners to halt any further discussions on the nominees to the Parliamentary Service Commission until they agreed on a way forward.
