Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has alleged that there is a plan to rig votes in the on-going Msambweni by-election.
In a tweet, Murkomen claimed that there was plan to delay the results in some polling stations to create room for ballot stuffing.
He, however, did not provide evidence to back his claims.
“Bwana IEBC Chair @WChebukati I bring to your attention plans to delay results of some polling stations including Mwaroni and Mwakigwena to facilitate ballot stuffing once the results are announced in other stations. We know you are up to the task. Let the people decide,” he tweeted.

His claim comes barely an hour after former Machakos Senator Muthama was arrested after chaos erupted at the Jomo Kenyatta Primary School polling station in the constituency.
Following the violence, the polling station was closed with voters outside chanting anti-government songs.
Earlier, there was drama after Lunga Luga, Member of Parliament Khatib Abdallah Mwashetani, was spotted running away after being busted allegedly bribing voters.
Reports indicate that Mwashetani was busted by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
In a video that has since gone viral, Mwashetani can be seen walking away from households accompanied by his supporters.
