The fuel prices will take effect from March 15, 2025, to April 14, 2025.

The Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced fuel prices that will take effect from March 15, 2025, to April 14, 2025. 

In a notice dated Friday, March 14, EPRA announced that it had retained the prices announced last month.

Consequently, in Nairobi, Super Petrol will be sold at Ksh176.58, while Diesel will be sold at Ksh167.06. Meanwhile, Kerosene will be sold at Ksh151.39. 

"In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged," read the statement in part.

"The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020."

In Mombasa, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will retail at Ksh173.34, Ksh163.82 and Ksh148.15, respectively.

Meanwhile, in Nakuru, Super Petrol will be sold at Ksh175.80, while Diesel will retail at Ksh166.63. The price of Kerosene in Nakuru was set at Ksh151.01.

Motorists in Kisumu will purchase Super Petrol at Ksh176.62 while those using Diesel will be spending Ksh167.44 per litre. A litre of Kerosene in Kisumu will be sold at Ksh151.82.

For Eldoret, the maximum pump price of Super Petrol was Ksh176.62 while that of Diesel was put at Ksh167.45. Kerosene will be sold at Ksh151.82 per litre.

"The purpose of the Petroleum Pricing Regulations is to cap the retail prices of petroleum products which are already in the country so that importation and other prudently incurred costs are recovered while ensuring reasonable prices to consumers," EPRA added.

"EPRA wishes to assure the public of its continued commitment to the observance of fair competition and protection of the interests of both consumers and investors in the energy and petroleum sectors."
