Kiss 100 FM presenter Kamene Goro has urged housewives from across the country to ensure they are well compensated for their efforts in making a house a home.
While presenting the Morning Kiss on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, alongside Jalang'o, Kamene detailed her duties around the house when she was a housewife.
At the time, she lived with her ex-husband in Arusha, Tanzania. The media personality narrated that she would wake up early, iron his clothes, prepare a bath for him and make breakfast.

She would then prepare a mid-morning snack and send him off to work.
"We had a garden and a shamba. I would go there and get kienyeji vegetables, come and cook.
"After that I would pack the lunch and deliver the lunch at his work place," she narrated.
Kamene added that she would then run a number of errands for him, before hitting the gym and then retiring to their home at the end of the day.
She stated that the job of being a housewife was tough, as she was always on call, noting that her biggest highlights of the week were going to the supermarket and the salon.
"your job in life is to make his life as easy as possible. Let housewives be paid, and be paid well.
"Mchukue monthly salary, for yourself, apart from money for bills and what not, nothing less than Ksh400,000 every month," Kamene stated.
The celebrity made the sentiments after High Court Judge, Justice Teresiah Matheka noted that being a housewife is a full-time job that should be payable.
She stated that housewives should not say they don't work since they provide services in the home that are otherwise outsourced and paid for.
Justice Matheka remarked that is it is unfair to only rely on seen income and the mindset that one has to contribute money to the marriage to find value.
“It is easy for the spouse working away from home and sending money to lay claim to the whole property purchased and developed with that money by the spouse staying at home and taking care of the children and the family. That spouse will be heard to say that the other one was not employed so they contributed nothing.
"Raising children is a full-time job that families pay a person to do. Cooking and cleaning as well. Hence, for a woman in employment who has to balance childbearing and rearing this contribution must be considered," the Judge stated.
