Sharon Machira, a senior presenter at British Broadcast Corporation (BBC) Africa, has resigned.
Among the programmes Sharon presented at BBC include Life Clinic, She Word, the Breakdown and Kenya Connects.
According to an internal communication to BBC staff, Sharon will leave the media house in October 2021.
"I would like to let you know that Sharon Machira, senior presenter at BBC Africa will be leaving the BBC at the end of this month. She will be moving on to pursue a new opportunity.
"Her last day at the BBC will be on the 15th of October 2021," part of the email reads.

Solomon Mugera
In August 2021, BBC Africa boss Solomon Mugera called it quits after 22 years of service.

“After 22 years, Solomon Mugera has decided to leave the BBC and explore pastures new,” said the memo seen by Nairobileo.co.ke.
Mr Mugera would later be appointed Director Communications and External Relations at the Africa Development Bank (ADB) after resigning from BBC.
